Declutter Your Home - One Big Tip To Make Your Home Spotless

Everyone dislikes having to live in a cramped and cluttered house. And there aren't a lot of people out there who truly love all the work it takes to get their home clutter free and keep it that way.

A big stressor in my life has always been keeping my house clutter free, it wasn't easy for me. I wasted a lot of energy trying to find items I had lost. I also was not keen on entertaining guests in my home because of the clutter situation.

I learned this valuable lesson about decluttering when I once read a good decluttering book. You must have a system, or, an order to your home. I'm not just talking about things looking like they are all in place and you like decluttering on the 3rd tuesday of every month. When I say a system, I mean that every single item in your home needs to have someplace where it belongs. This way, finding things will not be hard because you'll always know where to look. Unless you are disciplined enough to always put things back where they belong, this system will fail.

This system isn't all that confusing. This principle is the same one your mom always referred to when you were young when she told you to put your toys back where you found them. But as we get older, it gets hard to stick to this because of all the junk we collect over the years.

The second type of system you should use refers to the decisions about keeping things or throwing them away. I got a couple great techniques to make this process much faster from a decluttering book I read awhile ago. I still use them when I am decluttering my home. A good method or system to your decluttering will make the process so much simpler and quicker, you may almost enjoy it!
